    PPP Constitutes NEC Ahead of November 26th Congress

    In fulfilment of Article 14 of the party’s Constitution, The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) constituted the legislative arm of the party, The National Executive Committee (NEC) on Saturday 29th October 2022 at Jarra Soma Lower River Region (LRR).

    under the leadership of the party Secretary General Hon Kebba E Jallow, and the National President Hon Duta Kamaso who serves as the chairperson of the NEC, the party finally constituted the NEC ahead of its midterm congress scheduled for the 26th November 2022 at the Mansakonko Area Council hall. In a very colourful event in Jara Soma attended by 2 (two) representatives from the 53 constituencies, the Central Committee and National Secretariat members who constitute the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

    The NEC is the highest organ of the party between congress and has such powers to carry out all decisions and instructions of the National Congress, direct the work and supervise all other party organs, receive reports, supervise the work and give directives to the Central Committee as per when necessary in accordance with powers vested on it.

    The event was also attended by other senior party members, the Deputy Secretary General Hon Muhammed Ndow, National Mobilizer, National Women Mobilizer, the Youth and Women President a cross-section of the Regional Chairpersons and members of the party’s Board of Trustees, and Mr Abdoulie Bah the National Administrative Secretary chaired the meeting.
