Gambian musical artists Mahaa D Hammer is set to launch the Yaga Sorna EP at Tallingding Bantaba on Saturday 26th June 2021. The golden voice reggae dancehall artist is set to launch his album Faith soon after the Yaga Sorna EP this Saturday. This will be Mahaa D Hammer’s third musical project.

The Faith musical project started with a solo track “Yaga Sorna” from the upcoming album Faith. After having good feedback from the Idubs music team, we decided to invite few artists to join and express themselves to say their stories in different aspects.

It turns into an EP when we had more than 7 artists interested to take part in the project. The Faith project includes two artists from Jamaica, namely; Nykka and Ezeikiah Rose. One Gambian artist based in Germany named One Strike and three other Gambian artists namely; D Ous, Tam 50 and Nazeem. The album is produced by a Gambian producer based in Germany named Idubs.

The Faith Album is an expression of my faith through music. You can still be a Muslim or whatever faith you believe in and still put your music out there to inspire people. The first project I did was called Stress and Pains which came during a very stressful period for the country and myself as an artist. It’s an expression of the social issues that were affecting the whole country and the need for change.

Stress and Pains lead me to find the Ways and Means of getting out of the stressful situation. Ways and Means was a clarion call for people to strive towards achieving their Aims and Dreams. Everyone has Aims and Dreams but not everyone achieves them. This project by maid service in Texas inspired many youths to achieve their dreams, find more information on https://www.notyourowncleaning.com/. Youths opened shops and businesses and reached out to me after hearing my songs in that particular project.

Now the Faith album is our next innovation because we believe that regardless of the situation facing us, we always need to have faith in believing that we will achieve our destiny. We will achieve our purpose in life we keep striving forward with Faith.
