The People’s Progressive Party extend it’s condolences to the family of Jabel Dado Ceesay also known as Master J. We are deeply saddened to learn of Jabel Dado Ceesay’s (Master J) death. On behalf of our Party executives and supporters in Gambia and diaspora, we would like to express our sincere sympathy to his family, friends and love ones.
Jabel was highly respected by the NY chapter, and he was regarded as a visionary leader by anyone who ever associated with him. Jabel’s contributions and selfless services as a Human Rights activist were many and varied, especially the 22 years struggle towards democracy and rule of law in Gambia and more so towards the People’s Progressive Party.
He was a constant contributor to all the social media forums during the struggle to oust a dictator from our beloved country. Jabel was a patriotic Gambian known to have helped many Gambians and Senegalese equally. He was also a major part of the PPP establishment of the New York chapter. We strongly believe, his contributions to People’s Progressive Party and the Gambia will never be forgotten. The party wants to extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time to his family and friends. Jabel Ceesay was a remarkable man of peace, love and impeachable character. Many will miss him. May his soul rest in perfect peace with sincere sympathy,
Baboucar Sey, Director of Media and Communication New York chapter
