According to a family source that reached out to Gainako, no official reasons were advanced by the state for arresting Ousman Saidykhan. It can be recalled that Ousman was arrested by the security forces back in December 2012 after Abubacar left the Gambia for safety reasons to neighboring Senegal.   The embattled opposition UDP Youth Secretary, Ebrima Solo Sandeng was acquitted and discharged of the charges against him at the Brikama Magistrates Courts Monday morning. Sandeng was standing trail for false information and for holding a political meeting without a valid permit; which charges he pleaded not guilty since the start of the trail. After several adjournments and a few prosecution witnesses were called at the trial the prosecution could not substantiate the charges, the opposition youth is facing.
