Tears fill my eyes
When I steal a moment
To internalize the unimaginable life experience
Of the iron-willed,Old Mother
Whose indefatigability
Denied her comfort and rest
But made her precious little ones the best
Tears fill my eyes
When I reflect on
The harsh and unenviable life experience
Of the Old Farmer
Who defied Age and rude, routine chores
To indemnify his little ones’s future landing on safer shores
Tears fill my eyes
When my rude imaginations
Get tilted towards
The unwarranted and wanton destruction
Of precious human life and valuable property
All in the name of the “Great Unseen”
Tears fill my eyes
When I think of the unnerved,knowledge-hungry,poor student
Who defied the pain of pain
So he could present both Mom and Dad with some worthwhile gain
And last but,nonetheless,substantial
Tears fill my eyes
When I put my focal lenses
On a vulpine weirdo
Whose captainship of the State’s Ship
Has put all on the cusp of bad
History repeating itself.
