The Gambian Community and the Jadama Family of Salt Lake City Utah regret to announce the death of Mr.Alhagie Yaya Jadama, who passed away in Salt Lake City Utah after a long struggle with illness. Alhagie Yaya Jadama was a Father, Grand Father, Uncle, Brother, and distinguished Gambian-American citizen who immigrated to the United States with his family in 1998.
Mr.Alhagie Yaya Jadama was born in 1935 in Jumansarrba Village, Badibu, The Gambia.He served the Gambia government in various capacities at the State House until his retirement in the early 1990’s. Upon immigration to the United States, Mr. Jadama was committed to the pursuit of progress and building bridges across Communities in Salt Lake City Utah and the Gambia. He was a man of honor, integrity and wisdom. Mr. Alhagie Yaya Jadama was industrious, capable and touched the lives of many in our communities. He will be truly missed.
As preparations are underway to transport the decease body to his final resting place in The Gambia, the Jadama Family in Salt Lake City Utah is sincerely seeking for generous contributions from Gambians and Friends of The Gambia to meet transportation and other costs.
