The Gambia is a “nation” behind bars! And the debate that chief prison warden, Jammeh must go is over. We have entered the era of POSITIVE ACTION and nothing can turn us around. Even if this road to victory is littered with broken bottles and thorns, our will to endure is unshakable.
For those of us who have been paying attention to the crises in our beloved Gambia and the region in general; it should be obvious that insults (“haasteh”) will never replace thoughtful ideas as the solution to our national problem. The Jammeh regime is on the brink about to sink and no one in their right mind should attempt to rescue this monstrous tyrant.
It is during crises that fearless ideas turn into actions and make the most impact on the sensibilities of the people to fight back against repression. This battle requires passionate leaders driven by fearless ideas.
These neocolonialist presidents like Jammeh, now realize that REPRESSION breeds RESISTANCE! His trademark temper tantrums are obvious signs of desperation. Now he realizes that, he is touchable just as all the families he has wrongly touched and destroyed.
Our actions in New York jolted him out of his drunken delusions of “greatness”. And operation “Mbor Mbor” on October 9, 2013 delivered the required blow to strip him off the myth that he carries “supernatural powers”. No amount of ghoulish sacrifices at his altars of brutality can restore his past mystical folly. When the people unite and rise up against tyranny, no “marabouts” or “sering” can stand in our path. You either move over with Jammeh or we will move on over you. This is it!
We have run him to the edge of the cliff; a simple flick of the fingers will send him tumbling down the valley of neocolonial tyrants before him.
But! Brothers and sisters, we are neither naïve nor are we being complacent. The Jammeh regime is dying but not yet dead; the more reason for us to get ORGANIZED, ORGANIZED and ORGANNIZED.
“THEORY WITHOUT PRACTICE IS EMPTY”
Our action at the embassy, an open act of resistance is a means to end REPRESSION and achieve FREEDOM and LIBERATION. What happened on October 9, 2013 was putting a theory: “resistance increases the fighting capacity of the masses” to the test and practice. The massive outpour of support and appreciation proved the theory correct. Had this theory been kept in the head – BRAIN; it will wilt and rot. On the obverse; “PRACTICE WITHOUT THEORY IS BLIND”. Clearly, this action opened the eyes of not only Gambians but Africans and humanity in general.
This action has diminished the element of fear and rekindled confidence in the hearts of Gambians everywhere. Have “NO PATIENCE FOR REAR GUARD LEADERSHIP”.
RESISTANCE IS A MEANS TO END REPRESSION! WE WILL WIN!
