“Victim”
It’s the great multitude out there
Tightly confined to the periphery
By a few who fondly sneeze to give them cold
It’s the great multitude out there
It’s me,you and the countless others out there
It’s the angelic Wife
Whose unflinching uphold of the Sacred Knot
Earned her less dividend
The Victim
It’s the innocent, precious little one out there
Whose quest for love and attention
Was served with neglect and rejection
It’s the great multitude out there
It’s me,you and the countless others out there
The Victim
It’s the unimaginable rude irony
Of being homeless at home
The Victim
It’s the great multitude out there
It’s me,you and the countless others out there
It’s he who’s called “alien” instead of “human”
Whose labor is indispensable
But his humanity questionable
A visible crack in our social fabric
It’s the great multitude out there
The Victim
It’s me,you and the countless others out there
It’s the politically exiled
And the chemically gassed
Whose plea for justice
Precipitated the comfort
The World wallows in
By sitting on the fence
Whose pillars are anchored in
Steep ideological divides,hypocrisy
And unsound,inhuman approach
To a dire human dilemma
The Victim
Ultimately,it’s the World in to-to
If world leaders feel
The consequences of inaction will be dinky.
