The Baldeh Family Real Estate based in the United States have signed a mega international deal with TAF Africa Global to provide affordable homes to customers in the US and Africa on 24th January 2023. The partnership was signed shortly after a tour of the newly constructed TAF City. Our reporter spoke to Demba Baldeh and TAF General Manager, Ya Bajen Njie to get a better understanding of this new partnership.

Baldeh Family is a family-owned real estate business first established in the United States in 2009 selling commercial and residential properties. Speaking to Mr Baldeh he explained that the company was also registered in The Gambia as Baldeh Family Corporation in 2021.

The TAF website notes that the company was founded in 1990 as “a Pan African real estate development company with presence in eight African countries and dominance in two – Nigeria and The Gambia”.

Baldeh: Affordable Homes for the Diaspora

Mr Baldeh believes that his business and TAF “have aligned values and goals of providing affordable housing for Gambians and our customers in the US and West Africa”. On the reasons for the partnership, Mr Baldeh says “TAF Africa Global [as] one of the pioneers of Real Estate development in Gambia. So having the opportunity to work with such a reputable company means a lot to us”.

The seasoned real estate broker with over two decades of experience explained that the partnership is “geared towards selling TAF housing projects to Diaspora Gambians and other nationals wanting to invest in the Gambia”.

Mr Baldeh revealed that “within hours of releasing the announcement, hundreds of people contacted us and TAF about the opportunities. So, we are excited for this new adventure”.

Outlining his motivation for establishing a real estate business, Mr Baldeh said in a brief story that he intends to have “a lifelong career that aligned with my goals and values to build my own business that would give me more freedom and to have more impact on other people’s lives”.

Below is a video of the proprietors Demba and Isatou Baldeh’s introduction to the partnership.

TAF: Nobody Better to Partner With

Meanwhile, TAF General Manager, Mrs Bajen Njie, also informed our reporter that the partnership with Baldeh Family Real Estate would be “long term for as long as we have products to fit their clientele”.

She called “the partnership with the Baldeh Family Real Estate” — “a strategic move that we value and have high hopes in getting closer to our potential clients by having them market our products and services as agents to the company”.

Proferring reasons for signing the partnership she pointed to the Baldeh Family’s decades of experience. “With their 20-plus years in the real estate business, who better than them to partner with?” she asked.

Responding to questions on possible areas of collaboration Mrs Njie explained that “The Baldeh Family Real Estate will be marketing” their “Gambia projects [such as] Taf City, Tulip Gardens, Taf Twins and any other projects” they “launch in the future”.

Mrs Njie elucidated that “TAF Africa’s vision is to deliver 1 million quality affordable homes in the next 20 years within Africa”. To make this possible they “form strategic partnerships in order to make buying [their] homes easy and hassle-free,” added Mrs Njie.

She urged interested buyers to “contact the Baldeh Family Real Estate if you are in the US and they’ll get you all the info you need to get yourself a TAF property”.

Baldeh Family Real Estate has mortgages which are typically 5,10 and 15 years and are provided by Reliance and Trust Bank. Baldeh Family Real Estate can be contacted at [email protected] or 425-319-0884.
