Police press release demands all personalised number plates to be changed to the new aluminium number plates which have been proven to be defective. In our last publication on the Aluminium Number plate bid which is marred by corruption the Police Spokesperson ASP Lamin Njie referred us to “Comfort Quality Services, you can go to them and maybe they can give you updates about this because I think they have more information on this”.
When asked if the Police are not in control of the Number Plates ASP Lamin Njie said “it’s not like we are in control of the number plates because this is a contract between the Government of the Gambia and Comfort Quality Services”. However, in a reversal, the Poliso Magazine page run by the Gambia Police Force issued this press release on the Aluminium Number plates.
