Last month Gainako reported that diesel fuel prices had increased by one Dalasis only from September 2019 to October 2019. Similarly this November diesel price continues to increase by one Dalasis seven Bututs per litre from October (D53.38) to November 2019 (D54.45).
On the other hand petrol prices have remained unchanged from October (D52.06) to November 2019. From the month of September (D52.81) to October the price of petrol declined by 75 Bututs. This represents the only price decrease for both petrol and diesel since September 2019.
2019 Nov Fuel Prices per Litre
The average prices of fuel per litre for 2019 from January to November is 53.24 Dalasis for diesel and 51.50 Dalasis for petrol. This highlights that diesel has been more expensive than petrol for most of 2019.
2019 Quarterly Fuel Prices
Looking at the chart below it can be seen that the prices of fuel peaked between April to June in 2019. The highest prices for diesel (D56.17) and petrol (D57.36) were in June 2019.
The first quarter of 2019 has witnessed some of the lowest prices for fuel. The lowest prices for both diesel (D45.81) and petrol (50.64) were in January 2019.
