GAMBIA MADE WORLD HEADLINES FOR THE WRONG REASON AGAIN

In what appears to be a major scandal brewing from the FIFA World Cup Committee, former Gambian Football Federation President Seedy Kinteh has been named in a bribery scandal linked to the winning of 2018/22 World Cup bit for Qatar. In a rather damning article published by the daily mail on its June 1st publication, the article alleged that former Qatari FIFA Football President Mohammed Bin Hammam distributed over quarter of a Million Pounds to 30 African Football heads to buy their votes for his country’s bit for hosting the 2018/22 FIFA World Cup.  Several African countries are implicated in accepting bribery for their votes. Mr. Seedy Kinteh former embattled President of the GFF allegedly received over £36,000 for a car to travel to negotiate football projects… Some of the alleged payouts are listed below. As usual Africa is in the center of a Corruption Scandal… Below is the link to the full article from the Daily Mail..

Among the alleged payments made by Mohammed binhe  Hammaerm were

£30,000 for ‘school fees’ for Liberian-born former Man City striker George Weah – FIFA’s world player of the year in 1995.

£48,000 to Zambian FA president Kalusha Bwalya for ‘FA and personal expenditure’.

£31,500 to Fadoul Houssein, of the Djibouti FA, for an ‘expensive course of medical treatment for his general secretary’ and an all-expenses luxury trip to Saudi Arabia.

£36,000 for a ‘car to travel to football projects’ for ex-Gambian FA boss Seedy Kinteh.

£480,000 to the Ivory Coast FA as part of a  Fifa development scheme.£120,000 in cash to 25 delegates flown to Kuala Lumpur to discuss the bid in 2008.

£30,000 to Sao Tome FA president Manuel Dende, who asked for £138,000 for ‘football pitches’ to be paid into his personal account.
