DUGA wants to register its profound appreciation to all Gambians who took time to call, fax, email and picket BGR, the lobby group that is being paid a staggering $45,000 per month to decontaminate Yahya Jammeh in the USA. We claim no easy victories, but the phone blitz and our presence at BGR headquarters forced them to take their phones off the hook and turn a deaf ear to the outrage in the voices of Gambians. Our collective outrage at the callous collaboration between Yahya Jammeh and BGR, the tyrant enabling lobbyists, is beyond justified.
Through our collective resolute stance, we have sent a strong and categorical message to Yahya Jammeh and his enablers that we will never relent in our pursuit of a free and democratic Gambia; that we will vigorously confront and expose him and all his enablers, foreign or domestic.
Specifically to Jammeh: From Kanilai to Banjul, Potomac to K Street, 13th Street to London, it is DUGA’s promise that you cannot continue to abuse Gambians and expect to live a normal undisturbed life. We will make it our mission to make sure you are met with resistance at every turn. You are hereby put on notice.
We thank the following Gambian civil society groups for proving that in unity lies our strength:
