CSVR is a South African based NGO, that bore out of South Africa’s transitional justice process. In reaction to the report, Civil Society Organisation Fantanka has published a shadow report which focuses on the experience of women and young people during the regime of former President Yahya Jammeh. The event was supported by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) with partnership from the National Youth Council, Migrants as Messengers (returnees) and the Gambia Government. Although a total of seventy-five (75) delegates were expected from the various settlements, only fifty-two (52) youth representatives graced the occasion.
