 Kukoi Samba Sanyang former Gambia dissident and the mastermind behind the 1981 failed attempted coup against the Jawara regime has reportedly been arrested in Senegal and detained at the airport in Dakar. Reliable information has it that Senegal was contemplating expelling Kukoi out of their country to either Gambia or Mali. Kukoi Samba Sanyang was recently interviewed by Essa Bokarr Sey of Hello Gambia where he discussed in details his role in the 1981.
