Amnesty International News Flash Gambia has again demonstrated its blatant disregard for human rights by stopping a UN team from investigating allegations of torture and extrajudicial killings in the country, Amnesty International said today. DAKAR, Nov 6 (Reuters) – The number of Ebola cases is surging in Sierra Leone as the country suffers from a lack of treatment centers, while lack of food and basic goods is forcing some people to leave quarantine areas, the United Nations said. The U.N. ‘Burkina Faso crisis: African leaders in army handover talks’ The presidents of Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal are visiting Burkina Faso to press the military for a speedy handover of power to a civilian ruler. Five young Gambians supposedly APRC Green Boys needlessly lost their lives over the weekend in a tragic automobile accident. The incident involving an ARPC pick up truck loaded with supporters was reportedly traveling at an exuberant speed to join President Jammeh and his entourage up country. The driver of the pick up truck lost controlled of the vehicle in the Central River region near the Sofa Nyama/Pakaliba bridge, which somersaulted several times before killing several passengers. Gambia’s State House Imam turned political propagandist for President Jammeh Imam Abdoulie Fatty has been fired from his political appointment as a State House Imam. The controversial Imam reportedly was fired after making divisive comments about the Amadiyaa Muslim community in the Gambia.
