Police at Brikama station has arrested Amie Colley a Gambian employee to Nema Property company following an information giving to them by the company that the said Amie has allegedly been selling plot of lands to customers on behalf of Nema Property by giving false receipts to customers.
Amie works as the marketing manager of Nema Property and is currently under the custody of Brikama Police Station in the West Coast Region (WCR) for embezzling more than One Million Dalasi.
Speaking to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nema Property in order to have more light on the matter, Bambo Njie, confirmed the issue, noting that the incident is true.
CEO Njie said that the former marketing manager was doing dubious activities and receiving money on behalf of the company without submitting it to the office.
According to Nema Property boss, Amie has worked for the company for several months without bringing a single customer or an amount of money to the office, instead she just collect money from customers and use it for her personal interest.
Njie added that he discovered the dubious activities of Amie while she was receiving hundreds of thousands from customers and issuing them fake receipts.
At the moment, Amie granted a police bail at the Brikama police she again went and collect D215, 000 from one of their customer at the airport. The customer, he said, call him and inform him about the payment he made to the marketing manager.
Therefore, I decided to call the police and informed them about her act again. “The customer supposed to give her remaining D20, 000. Again, she uses another taxi driver to collect the remaining money. The customer asks the taxi driver o meet him at a bank where he was arrested.”
