The three, some of the best in the business and leading political activists against the Jammeh regime discussed in details the outcome of the local government elections, lessons to learn and the way forward for Gambia’s political future.
The panel also discussed the political stalemate and struggle of the opposition parties in Gambia. They each highlighted what they see as the obstacle to opposition success in the Gambia and what steps the t needs the political parties needs to consider in order to make inwards in the electoral success registered by the Independent candidates in the just concluded local government elections. All three analysis refused to buy into the notion that the only way for Gambia to get out of its current political struggle is through armed struggle.
