Invitation to an Open Conference

GRAB would like to cordially invite you to a Conference to be held in Birmingham. The main theme of the Conference is New Gambia: the role of the Diaspora in the New Dispensation”

The conference will be an opportunity to challenge and stimulate The Gambian Diaspora, especially UK based Gambians – the youth in particular, to take a more proactive interest in contributing towards the reconstruction and future development of the Gambia. There will be three topics for discussion by prominent Gambian speakers.

  1. Religion, civic responsibility and national reconstruction- Dr. Alh. Manta Drammeh
  2. Role of Gambian Diaspora youths in politics and national reconstruction- Abdoulie Jobe
  3. Role of Gambian Diaspora based associations in national reconstruction- James Bahoum

This will be followed by an interactive video link with President-elect Adama Barrow, Coalition Members and civil society actors, including #GambiaHasDecided Activists, to address the conference.

Further followed by an interactive panel discussion in which the audience will raise issues and pose questions to a panel, made up of knowledgeable Gambians from diverse backgrounds.
