“For 40 years, or was it longer, I can’t remember, I did all I could to give people houses, hospitals, schools, and when they were hungry, I gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert” Qaddafi.
The Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has gone rogue on dishing out millions of Dalasis in cash from left, right, and center to his people hoping to safe his soul from all the crimes he has committed against his fellow citizens. Yesterday March 29th he gave D700,000 ($17,000) to the Gambian Parliament in lieu of forgiveness and loyalty for disrespecting the law making body in the country. Today he gave the Gambian Christian Council a whopping 2.3 Million Gambian Dalasis ($57,000) for Easter donation after disrespecting and insulting Gambian Christians by declaring Gambia an Islamic State. This is in addition to 1Million Dalasis that he gave to the same Christian Council during last Christmas holidays.
The President is essentially bribing his way through every crime hoping for forgiveness from a cross section of his people. What Yahya Jammeh does not know, is that no amount of monetary donation in cash or kind can safe his soul from all the crimes against humanity and his people. What he can never comprehend is that even in the teachings of all these religions, no monetary form of compensation can wipe the tears and pains of innocent citizens particularly those families who lost their love ones. But this is a lesson expected to be learned by people with brains. When a leader is empty inside out and have no clue what they are doing they tend to believe that taking what belongs to the people and giving it back to them in the form of donations will eventually lead to their forgiveness. This is a gross failure to learn from history that no amount of gifts in cash or material wealth can take the place of the dignity, freedom and liberty of a people. Most human beings would rather live in abject poverty with their dignity than become subjects of leaders.
As a lesson, we would like to remind President Jammeh of recent history when his mentor and idol Mohamed Qaddafi of Libya for decades used the Libyan people’s vast wealth and resources to buy his loyalty. Qaddafi even offered to share his country’s riches with Africa after years of instigating political destabilization and mayhem on the impoverish African continent. It was too little too late and no material kindness could safe his soul or make his people happy. Here in below we reproduce verbatim Qaddafi’s last confession speech to his people. We hope that Jammeh and his pundits will reflect on this incredible piece of history and find an alternative to safe his soul.
Libya: Gaddafi’s Last Testament
~ by Muammar Gaddafi, April 17, 2011 ~
In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful…
For 40 years, or was it longer, I can’t remember, I did all I could to give people houses, hospitals, schools, and when they were hungry, I gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert.
I stood up to attacks from that cowboy Ronald Reagan, when he killed my adopted orphaned daughter, he was trying to kill me, instead he killed that poor innocent child. Then I helped my brothers and sisters from Africa with money for the African Union.
I did all I could to help people Understand the concept of real democracy, where people’s committees ran our country. But that was never enough, as some told me, even people who had 10 room homes, new suits and furniture, were never satisfied, as selfish as they were they wanted more.
They told Americans and other visitors, that they needed “democracy” and “freedom” never realizing it was a cut throat system where “the biggest dog eats the rest”, but they were enchanted with those words, never realizing that in America, there was no free medicine, no free hospitals, no free housing, no free education and no free food, except when people had to beg or go to long lines to get soup.
No matter what I did, it was never enough for some, but for others, they knew I was the son of Gamal Abdel Nasser, the only true Arab and Muslim leader we’ve had since Salah-al-Deen, when he claimed the Suez Canal for his people, as I claimed Libya, for my people, it was his footsteps I tried to follow, to keep my people free from colonial domination – from thieves who would steal from us.
