JAMMEH HAS A HAND IN THE IVORIAN CRISES: STATEHOUSE INSIDER TELLS GAINAKO
Our competent source within President Yahya Jammeh’s inner cabal has told this paper that Yahya Jammeh is the mastermind of the unfolding unrest in Ivory Coast. Our source tells us that Yankuba Badjie, Director General of the notorious National Intelligence Agency (NIA) traveled to a West African country very close to Ivory Coast on Jammeh’s orders and hand delivered millions of dollars to senior members of the army and rebel movement. According to our source, Jammeh expected attention to be paid somewhere else by ECOWAS. Our source also confided that it is these rebel leaders that have recruited over two hundred fighters from rebel camps in Ivory Coast, Liberia etc for Yahya Jammeh’s cause as reported by buzzfeed news. ”Look at the timeline of events in Ivory Coast and you will see the direct correlation to Gambia, before ECOWAS arrived in Gambia the ”soldiers” started the mutiny in Ivory Coast and now everytime a meeting is to be held on the Gambian crisis they start fighting to distract attention”.
While we cannot confirm this veracity of the information, we can confirm Jammeh’s involvement with Rebel movements in the region. Casamance is an example. He was the Principal supplier of arms and cash to the MFDC rebels and has hosted the leadership of the latter, Salif Sadio at his estates in Kanilai. He transported his tribalism rhetoric to neighboring Casamance and has the rebels issuing statements supporting him, despite his numerous crimes against even his own tribes people the Jolas in the Fonis who he accused of being witches and worshipping idols. If you remember in 2008, he sent so call “witch hunters” escorted by armed military into the Jola communities to identify suspected witches, these people were forced to drink a concoction that triggered hallucinations etc, most died. “When Jammeh accused Jolas of “eating people” during his meet the people tour in 2015 to date, when people die in Jola communities, people run into cassamance because of fear that Jammeh will send people to arrest innocent people and accuse them of being witches”. Jammeh has also taken a lot of land from Jola communities belonging to Jola communities to use as his farms or to build his mansion at Kanilia. Thus jolas have suffered immensly under Jammeh’s rule, yet tribalism motivates them to continue supporting their own oppression.
Jammeh’s involvement in illegal arms trade in the Sub region was clear when shipments from Tehran that trans shipped in Nigeria were found to contain arms addressed to Kanilai Family Farms (Jammeh’s company in Gambia). These arms like many that Jammeh shipped to Gambia, would have ended in Cassamace and other rebels in the subregion for use against Senegalese soldiers and to destabilise countries he feels their leaders do not support his oppression of Gambian citizens. Yahya Jammeh’s involvement in the instability of Guinea Bissau has never been a secret, we cannot forget when Kumba Yalla warned him to stop fanning the flames of conflict in Guinea Bissau.
Yaya Jammeh and his inner circle are aware of every brutal crime that they committed against innocent Gambians throughout Jammeh’s bloody and brutal 22years in power. They knew without a shadow of a doubt that they were commiting crimes but got away with it through sheer impunity as Jammeh controls all organs of the government including the army, Judiciary etc. Thus killings, torture, rape, illegal detentions and disappearances of Gambians were never investigated and allowed to continue to mantain Jammeh’s reign of terror. This sheer impunity is also extended to the Gambian economy with Jammeh ordering large amounts of foreign currency from central Bank without a single note to justify it, this also extended to parastatals, banks and businesses in Gambia, who are ordered to send money to Jammeh whenever he demands it. Thus human rights abuses and economic mismanagement of Gambia’s resources are prime reasons for Jammeh’s refusal to step down. Yaya Jammeh knows that if the new government follows his example in 1994 when he tookover and set up commissions like he did to investigate his administration, he and his circle will certainly be locked up for crimes against humanity and corruption of the highest order.
One thing is very clear as articulated by many observers of the Gambian crisis ” Africa needs democracy and The World and ECOWAS in particular will be setting a dangerous precedence in Africa if they fail to end Jammeh’s rule on January 18th 2017 by letting Jammeh subvert the will of the Gambian people through his compromised judiciary or through his rubber-stamp National Assembly”
This story is developing and we will bring you more information on Jammeh’s involvement with the Ivory Coast crisis as it unfolds.

As expected, Jammeh’s capacity for spreading division and discord among neighbours and ferment war knows no bound. Moreover for Jammeh & co, it is all in a day’s work! We can however that some heart in just a few day time, we will be witnessing his complete mutation from the naughty head of state he is into a a wanted-dead-or-alive-rebel leader. And then people the region over will achieve a collective state of Nirvana, and can be expected to breath easier again. In particular, the air around much of the Gambia – barring perhaps Kanili, I suppose – should taste sweeter, with more fragrance, and packing more oxygen for everyone – not only for the Jammehs. Thus all Gambians – even Jammeh supporters – once again be able to smile that broad Gambian smile secured in the confidence that no one is going to whisk them away for intense questioning because of it; for unlike Jammeh & co, Gambians love to smile a broad smile! Has anyone noticed how there is never a smile on the faces of Jammeh &co. Rather than a smile, there is always an insidious look of snare about them. Their faces says it all: there is always the hint of “uum I have just murdered, or disappeared or assaulted, or tortured, or humiliated, or imprisoned, or sacked someone, and you could be next. Ooh I have just raided the central bank of it foreign currencies and no one can do nothing about it”, or I have just delivered a cache of arms to rebels in the Sudan , or i have just landed a cargo of drugs on the streets, or I have just told someone important to go to hell, or to go worry about Boko Haram and leave Gambian people to their lot”; subliminally delivered with that poker face made SO infamous by Lady GaGa in her song Poker Face.
Allah of his heavens! I agree @Faal, that everything is on his face and cohorts’, you have not missed him in a single spot and I can bet he has committed every type of crime you outlined directly or indirectly. Now, themselves would say to Ecowas, ”If………………then, the STATUS QOU remains” meaning; without him jammeh’s conditions met by Ecowas in the political impasse, the state of atrocities to Gambian people is there to stay.
Whatever, I think I am going check out for the song Poker Face. Whoever Lady Gaga is……Lady Gaga?
