Our great grand -parents, grand parents, most of our parents and some of us today were raised and lived a life stuck in the ways of the dinosaurs, we all know what happened to the dinosaurs, they became extinct. The Gambia and its political apparatus is much too versatile a survivor for extinction, but rather we the progressives, the entrepreneurs, the intellectuals and the political opposition apparatus as we know it will be further marginalized into the position of yalla bahna.
Over the years we have put all our political eggs in the lone basket of these political oppositions. With our blessings they have gone into political battles against the great Babili mansa, at first their strategy was THE GO IT A LONERS , they were quickly hood- wigged, then it was NADD , there they were divided , bamboozled and conquered, now this time around going into 2016 , their call to arms is ELECTORAL REFORM there I will predict the ultimate ‘okeydokeing’. However we must also reserve the possibility of these opposition political groups being able to counter and put up a formidable fight ,under the watchful eyes of the international community, such an outcome will be fine and dandy but certainly we in these diaspora must not make the same mistake again, by putting all our political eggs into the usual ONE OPPOSITION BASKET.
We at this stage of the diasporas Resistance must diversify our investments. The good old, one wonder, political route have been inconsistent, time and time again it has failed to generate returns of any meaningful value ,we in these Diasporas must understand we have the powers of The Benjamins, The kronas, The Marks, The Starling etc, etc . We must not cede these powers to any political opposition.
Our failure to diversify our financial resources with other political option will be a financial malpractice and political immaturity on our part. For the purpose of clarity this opposition route must not be discounted but certainly it cannot be the only route,
This time around we in these diasporas must raise funds for the sole purpose of creating our own KING, who will have to fight our political battles or in the very least meet us halfway as we march towards CIVIL RESISTANCE. Like the dinosaur these Gambian political oppositions have failed to adapted , they have failed to represent us, they have failed to hear our cry, additionally they have taxed us without representation, they have taken our donations without representations, we must now invoke the time tested remedy, of no taxation without representation and no donations without representation.
Our window of operation is very short, we must diversify our political options by moving to make our own KING , the usual keeping of all our political eggs in one political basket should be a non starter.
