Preview of December 30th, Failed Coup: An investigative reporting
It would be an understatement for any Gambian with a sound mind to take the events of December 30th, 2014 lightly. Not only does the event have significant political implications on the nation, but it has cost lives of Gambian citizens and thousands of innocent families have been subjected to arrest, torture and detention for several weeks and months including minors. The trauma and wounds caused by that incident will forever remain unhealed especially for those who lost love ones. It is the duty of every Gambian who wants nothing but the whole truth about December 30th and by virtue of our responsibility as a medium to accurately report on matters affecting our nation that we engage on this difficult project:
Ever since her surprising appointment as Gambia’s top Diplomat in the aftermath of the December 30th near miss on State house in the Gambian capital Banjul, Gainako has been inundated with numerous questions on who knew what and when that led to this unfortunate event. In tandem with Journalistic ethics, Gainako has put into motion significant investigative resources both in Banjul and the United States to try to come up with reliable information for posterity on who might have play a deadly role and compromised relevant information pertaining to the incident.
Our preliminary findings on Ms. Mcdoll-Gaye herself a journalist and others’ role are stunning and may have a lot to do with her timely appointment as Foreign Minister. Our unimpeachable sources nestled within the corridors of State House have intimated that indeed Neneh Mcdoll Gaye may have had fore knowledge of the December 30th and alerted President Jammeh on the plans. As a result, she was pleasantly rewarded with the Foreign Minister portfolio; and an opportunity to rejoin her previous boss who unceremoniously fired her several times from one position to another before she settled in the United States in Atlanta Georgia.
Our highly confidential sources close to the Jammeh regime within and outside of the Gambia insinuated that Neneh may harbor ambition for higher office in the Jammeh administration. She was reportedly very closed to the President who is often deadly in kicking out his aides but at the same time keeping them close by blaming their downfall on their colleagues. Neneh reportedly confided in others that she may some day potentially be elevated to the office of Vice President and as a result was going to stay out of the limelight with the struggle and keep her close contacts with the President for future possibilities! That strategy may have temporary worked well for her. These are just some of the leads and preview to our findings and the full text will be published when the legal process involving Papa Faal and Co is finally settled.
A lot of other questions were confirmed in our preliminary investigations; but for this preview we can state unequivocally that indeed Mrs. Neneh Mcdoll-Gaye was highly privy to the plans via her connections with prominent people who are allegedly involved in the December 30th events. Another source told us; “Neneh like many used her status as a former Minister and posed as a sympathizer and supporter of the struggle and was therefore trusted.” Another alleged that relationship of some sort may have privileged Neneh to have access to some highly confidential information… our investigations on that continues.
The most incriminating evidence that raises eye brows and red flags is the timing of her appointment. Many Gambians now understand that Yahya Jammeh does not do things in a vaccum. That he is as quick to dismiss as much as he is to give rewards. Many believes that although Neneh Mcdoll has a right to chose to work for the government of her choice, she has serious questions to answer on what she knew, when, what information she passed along and how much she may have betrayed the people who trusted her with whatever information. The political fight in Gambia is a life a dead situation as Jammeh and his gang are willing to eliminate anybody who stands on their way. Therefore whoever choices to Allie with a government willing to eliminate political opponents has chosen the side of the devil and is fair game… Watch out for the full report coming soon….
