The fight to free Gambia is not a fight Gambians ask for, it is not a fight Gambians want or demanded, it is a fight that has been brought to Gambians and upon us as a nation and people. There would not be any fight without the quest of one man and his unworthy brainless few to control the destiny of a nation and its people. It is one man – Yahya Jammeh who wants to rule our country for the rest of his life. Who came to power through force under the pretext of freeing our nation. It is Jammeh who denied our citizens the right to criticize their government, to enjoy their god given freedom, dignity, liberty to choose their political affiliation, express their anger against their government. It is one man who have killed hundreds of Gambians who have not taken up arms against him, destroyed thousands of Gambian lives, disintegrate hundreds of families, exiled thousands of brilliant citizens for no reason but his quest to control power.
It is one man’s quest to control what Gambians say, what we eat, where we go, who we talk to and who we love and associate with. The fight in Gambia is a 20 year fight Yahya Jammeh slowly but surely brought on each and every Gambian who dare to speak, write or disagree with him. It is Yahya Jammeh who is responsible for this fight in Gambia and YES…FIGHT IS WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS Yahya Jammeh. Some will fight through our pens, our mouths, our hearts and others will hunt you down by any and all means possible to regain our country.
You have killed, maimed and tortured enough of our citizens. Our blood is on your hands and we will never turn back or rest until our country is liberated from the clutches of tyranny . While we celebrate the lives of our fallen gallant citizens who took the fight to your door steps, we are regrouping, resharpening our pens, reorganizing for the next phase of liberation… THIS WILL NOT END UNTIL IT ENDS… Gambians have paid with our blood, our sweet and our limbs and be REST ASSURED the fight is just beginning…. RESP IN PEACE PATRIOTS. Death is inevitable and will come to all of us, it is the course we gave up our lives for that matters. “If a man cannot find something to die for, they are not worth living” Dr. Murtin Lurther King.
